Originally from Cape Breton, I am currently living and working in Halifax, NS.
I graduated from Acadia University in 2003 with a major in French, and I also studied Spanish. While attending Acadia I worked at the Acadia Institute for Teaching and Technology where I earned the title of computer geek.
After graduating I did some of that “finding myself”, which took me with Canada World Youth to Guatemala.
In June of 2006 I graduated from the Advanced Diploma Program in Public Relations at NSCC. I am currently working at NSCC in the Marketing and Advancement department and loving every minute of it!
I don’t consider myself to be guru of PR, but I enjoy it and think that this page will allow me to share some of my opinions, and let people get to know a little bit more about who I am.

Dear Robin,
I read some of your posts and I found them to be pretty informative.
I want to ask you some specific questions about your experiences with NSCC. Mind if I pick your brain?

Hi Robin,
I’m also a graduate of the NSCC PR program. What a small world. I was just in the process of updating my resume and googled “NSCC public realions program” and found your blog. At first I thought you were Robin from my graduating class…anyway I was wondering how your job prospects have been since graduating. I hope that you don’t mind me asking. I graduated in June 2007, it had taken me a while (3 months) to find a communications position. I accepted a contract position with the government and my contract is unfortunately coming to an end with possibly no chance for renewal. I should know for certain at a later date. In the mean time I’m waist deep in the job search…actually I have been for a while anticipating that I might not get an extension. I know I can go on and on so I’ll get to the point. Do you have any advice to offer a fellow NSCC PR grad who is looking for employment in surrounding HRM?
